Natural Resources
As we all know that in our universe the only planet where
the life exist is Earth. For existing this on Earth we need food, energy etc.
These resources are found from different sources. The main source of energy in
our earth is Sun. Its very important for our servival on earth.
Resources on Earth
The main resources on earth for us are land, water and air.
In our earth, ¾ part of our earth have water and we also have underground
water, this is a biggest source of water for us to sevive on earth. There are
many layer on our earth
1. Hydrosphere :- It is a mass of water under the earth
surface and above the earth surface.
2. Atmosphere :- The air in our surrounding that covers us
like blanket, is called Atmosphere.
The portion where the these three exist together
(atmosphere, hydrosphere and lithosphere) are known as biosphere. It is a part
where life exist. The air, water and soil or abiotic components of the
biosphere, we now study these in details.

Air
We know that air in our surrounding in the composition of many
gasses like as nitrogen, oxygen, argon, carbon di oxide and other gases. In our
atmosphere the major part of our surrounding is nitrogen, then oxygen, then argon,
then carbon di oxide and remaining part few other gases. In our surrounding
composition as given below,
78% nitrogen, 21% of oxygen, 0.935 argon, 0.04% carbon and
remaining other gases. This composition of air is result life on earth. In
other planet where life does not exist these gases are not present there. Like
as on the surface of Venus and mars where life does not exist, because in these
planets these gases are very less. In these planets the major gas is carbon.
Carbon gas is in 95 to 975 on these plantes.
Carbon di oxide and Oxygen have very important role in human
body as well as plants and animals. Plants and animals take carbon di oxide and
relese oxygen which is taken by us for breathing. It makes a life cycle between
plants, animals and humans.
Role of atmosphere
Atmosphere plays an important role in our life. We know that
atmosphere is covering us like a blanket. It maintains the temperature of atmosphere
during the days and night. It maintains the sudden increase in temperature
during the days and night. Due to this atmosphere, the difference in
temperature maintains not so high, that’s why our planet earth have life. During
the night it escape down the rate of escaping heat from the earth surface. So
the earth surface does not cools so much during night so the temperature is
maintained during the nights. In other side the moon is at same distance from sun
but the temperature difference is so high (-190 to 110 ), that’s why life is
not possible on the moon. As above we see that sand and water do not heat up at
same rate.
