Step 1. Draw number line and mark center point as O.

Step 2. Mark OB = 1 at right side of zero .

Step 3. Draw a perpendicular on B so that AB = 1

Step 4. The length of hypotens OA = √2 .

Step 5. Now join the point OA.

Step 6. Take OA as radius .

Step 7. Mark an arc on OB.

Step 8. It intersect number line at C.

Step 9. Now the line OC = √2
