Concept of Motion
Rest :- If a body or object does not changes its position from one point to other point with reference point, is said to be in Rest.
For Example :- Bus at bus stop.
Motion :- If a body or object changes its position from one point to other point with reference point, is said in Motion.
For Example :- Train running from Delhi to Mumbai. In this case the reference point of train is Delhi but train now running to Mumbai so train is said in motion.
Units Of Measurement
1. Units of Distance or Length
a). 1 Kilo meter = 1000 meter
b). 1 Kilo meter = 1,00,000 centimeter
c). 1 Kilo meter = 10,00,000 millimeter
d). 1 meter = 100 centimeter
e). 1 meter = 1000 millimeter
f). 1 centimeter = 10 millimeter
g). 1 meter = 1 / 1000 kilometer
h). 1 centimeter = 1 / 1,00,000 kilometer
i). 1 millimeter = 1 / 10,00,000 kilometer
j). 1 centimeter = 1 / 100 millimeter
k). 1 millimeter = 1 / 1000 meter
l). 1 millimeter = 1 / 10 centimeter
2. Units of Mass
a). 1 Kilogram = 1000 gram
b). 1 Kilogram = 10,00,000 millimeter
c). 1 gram = 1000 milligram
d). 1 milligram = 1 / 10,00,000 kilogram
e). 1 milligram = 1 / 1000 gram
f). 1 gram = 1 / 1000 Kilogram
3). Units of Time
a). 1 year = 365 days
b). 1 year = 12 month
c). 1 day = 24 hours
d). 1 day = 24 * 60 = 1140 minute
e). 1 day = 24 * 60 * 60 = 86400 second
f). 1 hour = 60 minute
g). 1 hour = 60 * 60 = 3600 second
h). 1 minute = 60 second
Note :- Units are generally written in short form as follows :-
Kilometer = Km
Meter = m
Centimeter = cm
Millimeter = mm
Kilogram = kg
Gram = g
Milligram = mg
Minute = min
Second = Sec
